There’s an ‘archive’ section on the Specialized website where you can look at pics and specs of older models.

My girlfriend just bought a 2012 Sirrus – it’s a nice bike. It’s fast (thin tyres, reasonably light) and nice for commuting / pootling around on, but its very upright position and flat bars mean it’s not especially great for long road rides. There are plenty of bikes I’d rather have, personally, although it suits my girlfriend’s more relaxed attitude.

Are those carbon forks? Looks like it. A new one will be £450 IIRC. That one doesn’t look much older, but there’s a bit of rust and it looks a bit… unloved. If you want that sort of bike, and you’re confident you can sort it out for minimal outlay, I’d say £200?

non external BB so either old or very low spec. Forks dont look carbon to me. V brakes and flat bars- its a hybrid not a road bike.

Looks tatty, low spec and neglected. £100 as a pub bike/fixerupper.

Thanks for the heads up. I bear £200 in mind.

I need a faster bike than my MTB for a new road commute [leisure ride].

Still looking for the bike on the Spesh site.

Looks like the base model, no carbon fork and pretty basic drivetrain. Was £399 new in 2010. Make up your own mind as to how much it’s worth depending on condition.

Just got back…and 🙁 I’m still riding my MTB with slicks 🙁

    FYI

The bike went for £130 on the hammer buyers Commission will add a further 15% and VAT also needs to be added.

So about £175 for a 2010 bike that needs some love.

Also, some numpty [prolly seller] in the auction was claiming it was carbon…that skewed the bidding immediately.

And the bike need some attention as well.

On the other had I got a mavic cxp22 front wheel, hub felt with new tyre and tube for £20 🙂 . The GF’s front is having problems on her bike…so thats sorted.

The Falcons went for £30. Keen but not that keen.

The Scalextric was withdrawn :-(. Maybe next time.
