i rode one of those 853 altitudes a few months ago and it was a great trail bike. ROde much better than the whyte 19 trail i had before that.

£1300 has just bought me a Lapierre Zesty 214 from Evans

They have that exact model genesis in my LBS – very nice looking bike. It’s also reviewed in this months cycling plus and they gave it a pretty good review.

I noticed some pretty well kitted out FELT Compulsion full sussers going for a song around £1100. I wasn’t in the market for anything new, but they looked OK – don’t know much about them. BTW – Evans Reading

Another +1 for Zesty 214. Love mine. Bargain at that price. Can’t think of anything I’d rather have at that price (Anthem came close though…)
