As above, with all this rain I'm getting a leak in the shed.
It's around the window frame and just a hairline crack where two pieces of wood join but its drawing in like a sponge.....
Something that could be stained / painted over would be lush

I've used a fair few sealants over the last few years and the best stuff I've found recently is THIS stuff. It's an MS polymer (whatever that means) and it seems to be holding its own where others have failed. If you opt for the clear stuff it hides quite nicely, leaving only a wet look after application.
It's expensive but worth it IMO. It may be available cheaper elsewhere but my searches have been fruitless...

Was about to post asking something similar, just realised our UPVC window frames are allowing water in around their sides, and am intending to buy some sealant like mentioned above.
Question is: should I just seal it now (well, once it's stopped effing raining anyway) or wait for it all to "dry out" (which means "in the summer" I guess!!) before sealing? Am just wondering how the moisture that's in there will get out again if I seal it up...

sticks like is awesome stuff, truly amazing. It can't be used in quite the same way as silicone though, as it attracts dirt and discolours quickly.
It is incredibly strong and really does stick almost anything to almost anything, in almost any situation!

if it is for filling wood i'd use a two pack wood filler - it is a bit like car body filler.
