The Levellers - Levelling the Land
&
NWA - Straight Outta ComptonNow got some ace angst ridden tunes from different music genres! Reminds me of my drink fueled primal screaming of my youth! Which reminds me, need to rip my Primal Scream albums...

Excellent album, as is the first one (and the second Troubleman album, which is a bit more funky)

Deepish Mood?? A Depeche Mode tribute band??
Sorry, Alison Moyet called them that and it kind of stuck
Saw them Birmingham NEC before Christmas, standing down the front, off to see them again at the O2 in a couple of weeks - this time we're sat up in the Gods (Block Q or something).
One of the few bands I know that can really work a stadium.
Support is Nitzer Ebb too.

I had a review published in NME of an early DM gig. It was the worst gig I've ever been to. I'm sure they got better though

Just bought that annoying little manchild Jamie Cullu (sorry, can't bring myself to finish it) for the Mrs on the basis she ONLY plays it in her car.

Listening to new Vampire Weekend for second time now.
Not as immediate as first album but I like how they've developed their sound.
Think there's a bit of auto-tune on his voice at one point though, which is a bit odd considering how distinctive it is anyway.

He sat at my table at an awards dinner I attended about 8 years ago - just before he became well known iirc.
He was very small, smug, and his music was deeply boring cover versions even then.
