  • What tubeless parts and repair kit?

    Hi

I have tried a couple of ghetto setups on my tubeless ready wheels and tyres but have had leaks due to the glue failing on the electrical tape and duct tape is just messy.

I’ve noticed different options for tubeless kits so what’s a good one? I’ll need a puncture repair kit. All I’ve been doing is taking a spare tube with me but what else do I need? High rollers 2.3 front and back.

    Cheers!

Go proper ghetto. Bmx tube over a regular rim tape, sliced open and wash out the talc. Mount the tyre over that, inflate. Let down, inject sealant, reinflate, cut off excess inner tube and do the tubeless dance.
The inner tube gets glued to the tyre wall with the sealant, so if the tyre rolls around it won’t burp, and if you lose pressure completely you can reinflate it.
Carry the weldtite repair kit. Buy spare bogeys on eBay.
I’ve run this setup for a few years now in an area prone to flint tyre cuts, and touch wood, no outright failures.
