I used to run my photoblog on pixelpost but after an “upgrade” on my host’s server it no longer works. Once before I used WordPress but that got messed up too. I’m looking for a simple, bomb-proof alternative that doesn’t need sql or php skills. Any recommendations for tried and tested solutions?

    tumblr?

It’s a general microblogging tool, but seems good for just posting photos with some blog text.

You can link it to other platforms. Tumblr and Flickr have integration so you can host the photos on Flickr and post them to Tumblr for the blogging part if you like and it auto links back to Flickr with attribution.
