    I thought this was going to be about C90 audio cassettes. I’ve got quite a few that are no good to me any more but I can’t bear to chuck them out “just in case”!

    Split them and keep the spacers, handy for single speeding on the cheap, as for the sprockets themselves, 10 cassettes must be ~2.5kg of steel?
    so if you can accumulate another 9975 cassettes you could get £60-80 from a scrap merchant maybe…

    I keep the spacers and lockrings for spares and chuck the worn cassette in the metal recycling.
