I’m running a 2.35 DTC Kenda Nevegal on the rear, & 2.35 Stickee Kenda Blue Groove on the front. Still plenty of clearance on the back. Good all-round combo. Pretty hefty mind, even in kevlar.

I use 2.5 weirwolf on my inbred ss

Great all rounder and a bargain.

Rum my Inbred SS with Specialized Pros (now I believe Eskars) say they are 2.3s but they are big, just fitting between the chain stays, nothing bigger would fit. Great alround tyre, with lots of give.

The 2.35 Nevegals are often considered “big for their size” because they actually are 2.35… This is outlandish of course. Fab tyre, the stick-e is fairly slow but it sticks like spunk in the bath. My front tyre of choice, it can take on anything and it’s decently tough too.

Eskar 2.3 is about 2.25 at its widest point so not big for its claimed size or as big as the OP wants but still, absolutely fantastic rear tyre.

But obviously someone should mention Rubber Queens… Accurately sized but tall too for huge, huge volume. Fairly heavy. Fast for their size but not very grippy for their size really, poor edge grip but good in a straight line. Decent tyres all round. A bit crap in deep mud.

Rubber Queen 2.2’s are huge volume.

I’ve got 2.2 Michelins that are bigger than Kenda Nev 2.35’s, so I don’t find them ‘big’ at all.

ahh, i just put a continental mountain king 2.4 on the front and its fairly good grip but slow rolling.

id take a look at running 2 maxxis minion 2.5 60a front tyres or 2.5 60a high rollers.
or either of the above with a 2.3 maxxis crossmark at the rear to keep it rolling fast.

    james.
