putting together a light dh wheelset (on a certain budget!), got some wtb i25 rims on order and need some advice on spokes and nipples…where is the best place to buy and what type/brand to get..

DT Swiss from rose bikes start at 25cents each plus the nipple. What sort of budget are you working on?

ha funny you mention that was just looking at that..comes to about £24 for what I need..way cheaper than crc which is almost £1 per spoke!

edit, budget is not great but would like semi decent quality

DT swiss butted spokes from nidderdalecyclesandhire[?] on ebay about 8 quid for a set.

I use Sapim Race in all my wheels, probably good for lightweight DH. I’ve never brokn any. But I don’t do DH…

I fancy some d-light spokes with brass nipples for my next build but there seems to be a significant step up pricewise from the race spoke.
