is there any free software that can check hdd and remove unused/temp files e.t.c automatically, and that may be able to also save space on your drive too? also easy/fullproof to use if poss 😳

currently i am using windows optimise drive software,i have also used advanced uninstaller pro,and have just downloaded defraggler too.

just wondered if there are any others that you might recommend also?

just to add that i still have plenty of space on my hdd,but it’s always nice to keep on top of these things (when you have lots of game files 😉

    thanks 🙂

I never found CCleaner made any real difference. Windows has its own driver clean up thing, which always found more stuff to remove.

How about deduplicating software? I’ve a back-up disk which I’m sure has several copies of some files, but sifting through manually would be a chore.

Is there anything which will flag up multiple copies of identical files?

    Driver cleanup?

Is this the disk cleanup tool or something else?
