• What replacement for Schwalbe Kojak?

The front tyre on my commuter / pub bike has a large cut and needs replacing.

I’m currently running Schwalbe Kojak 26×2.0 and absolutely love them but the price has gone up since I last got a pair. Best I can find them is about £35 with delivery for 1 which is a bit too much for me.

What else would the STW collective recommend?

    Needs to be:

26″ tyre

large volume ~2″

light weight

folding bead

not too bothered about puncture resistance but can’t be super fragile

cost ~£20
… So what would you recommend?

Wow! Not one reply. Are my requirements too strict?

Some used Kojaks? That’s what I’ve just bought. Specialized Fatboy at about £20 an end?

Why a folder? The wire bead version will be waaaay cheaper.

spec website states 1.25″ a bit skinny compared to what i have currently but the best alternative i’ve seen. thanks

they are 100g lighter, easier to put on and also looking for mail order and i’ve had a couple wire bead tyres before with a kink in them.

Its not a must have but would be nice to get a folding bead.
