ive just come back from snapping my carbon fibre XTR pulley cage in half. i was thinking i’ll go XT this time but then caught my self looking at the saint rear mech. is it worth the additional £40 for one or shall i just go back to XT??
what ever i decide im not going back to carbon fibre. i dont like pushing my bike much 😉

Anything that snaps a carbon cage will at least bend an other cage, if not smash it. Benefit of XT over XTR is that they’re cheaper to replace. Even SLX would be fine, not a big difference between the mechs, bigger difference between the shifters though.

That xtr clutch thingy looks pretty good. On its way to saint and then hopefully XT/SLX

yes i have to agree!! i have xt shifters and am very happy with them. i just liked the look of a saint mech, short and as its the shadow it keeps it out of the way a little more. also i like the idea of stronger springs etc.. just the £40 difference is making me think twice
