  • What proportion of your income gets spent on biking?

I'd say i'm a bit of a thrifty biker-only one bike, don't replace parts much, still riding in cloths from 5-10years ago etc. I therefore reckon I only spend about 2% of my income on biking. Just interested in what other people spend.

    Think you need help furry_marmot?

About 50-60% here. Rest goes to badminton supplies, booze, occasional train fares, cinema tickets and the like, booze, food and drink, and booze.

Hmm at a guess I would say 10-15% maybe. Could be more though.

I wouldn't even want to calculate, but it's safe to say it's WAY too much.

Last 3 months i would say 300%. But have 2 new bikes and lots of new clothes etc.

But on average I would say 5% for maintenance, tools, parts etc.

Will be 100%+ this month on lights and MOT of the car.

30% on rent, 10% on food, 10% on mon moto.
everything else goes on bike parts, or bike weekends away.

    50% on bikes

Just spent 7 months wages on new race-bike..

20% on rent and food, everything else is really bike related, only run a car so I can travel to races, rarely use it for anything else. Car was cheaper to buy than rear hub on aformentioned bike, but spend around 25% of income on diesel, + MOT + Insurance + needs new timing belt etc. All other sports stuff is just cross-training.
Honestly can't think of the last time I spent more than a fiver on myself that wasn't bike related.

    I may be slightly obsessed.

Hmmm about £2k a year on parts etc, according to my tracker. Depends if you're counting holidays and other bike related costs. If so I'd guess about 5% but it's what I love so i reckon that's a bargain.
