Decided I need to add a printer to my PC setup, looking for some real world recommendations from the STW massive 😀

Will mainly be used to print stuff off the web, but will probably be called upon to print a few photo's now and then, nothing too big, A4 max most likely.

Looking for something economical in the replacement print cartridge front as well, if possible!

    cheers 🙂

    Canon Pixma 4700

Quick and nice prints, ink seems to last a while too

I have the 4600 which is great and apparently the 4700 is better, right result for about 90 quid
Or maybe the 4600 at an even cheaper price

We recently bought an hp Officejet 8000 and have been very impressed.

After a few weeks of day-to-day use I then printed 200 pages of dissertation report and the ink still seemed keen to last longer.

Print quality is great plus it's wireless so very easy to set up and place.

Minor caveats are that it is massive and has a tendency to switch from A4 to US letter paper size (which hasn't seemed to make a huge difference even if you don't spot it)
