    I want to download some youtube and vimeo vids to convert and put on my ipod touch. Can anyone recommend free downloading software thats easy to use?

    I’m planning to use Handbrake to convert to ipod format.

    Download Helper works well if you use Firefox. Can convert as it downloads as well, so you can copy straight to iPods/PSPs/etc.

    Keepit.com

    And handbrake to convert to iPhone if necessary.

    Keepit.com doesn’t seem to be a video downloading site, more of a backup one. I’ll check the others out now.

    Keepit.com allows you to enter a YouTube address and it then provides links to the files for download or there’s even a java favourite that allows you to do it directly from YouTube.
