My parents have been using some of my ancient cast-off mobiles for several years and the batteries are getting pretty shagged so I'm thinking of getting them some new ones for Christmas. Can anyone recommend a fogey-friendly handset from the bottom end of the market?

This seems like a good price. Just got one for my mum but she wanted one with a basic camera which you mightn't need. By all accounts I'll be able to drop her ASDA PAYG SIM into it which offers good call/SMS prices as ASDA use Vodafone's network.

However I've not seen or used the phone yet but I'd personally always get a Nokia.
