off to cham in a couple of weeks so getting my bike prepared
am i right in thinking organic pads are better as they generate less heat or is it the other way round?

    thanks

I always use sintered. Put a new set in and 5 mins from leaving the chair lift they are nice and bedded in. They don’t really get much choice. I’ve found that I can easily use one set for the week, even if it’s wet.

Sintered handle heat better but transfer more heat into the calipers. So you have less chance of pad fade but more of boiling the fluid.

    I’d go with sintered

Ah i was going to suggest Ashima sos for the best of both worlds but they don’t make them for hopes.

There is a pad producer called Ashima and they do a duel compound pad for most brakes. Its called the s.o.s pad (sinterd, organic, sinterd)

I would use this as it gives you instant bite but with much less heat transfer.

I run sintered on M4s on the tandem – only in real extreme provocation have they overheated and they last well
