My brother wants a new road bike and has about £400 to spend. I have recommended the Cannondale caad8 2300[/URL] as it looks good for the money. He probably has the cash so secondhand is an option but I don’t really know where to start.

Can’t yo just sell him your old Raleigh until he has enough for something a bit nicer? That’ll help hide your little secret from the boss too.

mate has a cannondale caad8, its really nice.

That caad8 will be fine. Wheels are awful, but the groupset is better than you might think.

Used, id still go for a caad8, giant tcr or boardman
