i got a 20 quid 2 mb black one with a screen from maplins a couple of weeks ago. Sound is brilliant 9 I use sone in ear headphones from tkkmaxx.) It wasn't on their store website so have a look instore ( i think it is discontinued)

I think there's a good samsung?/ one of amazon or play for £30 reduced from 44 or something. They were out of stock for ages. I got mine. Then they came back into stock after.

excellent and robust, very small in size though

Just looked at the size of the sansa clip. I think it's a bit too small for a 10yr old. It'll just get lost.

There are some Philips ones and a Samsung that look OK.

Anyone got one of the nano look alikes that are on Amazon? either the ones labelled up "nano alike" or the other ones, I think from Archos??
They're both about 18quid for a 2G with 1.5 inche screen.

you could be right, i have to be careful not to slip it in my back pocket and sit on it 🙂
