As above, all my aged saddles are in great nick bar scuffing at the sides.

    Thick leather?

    😐

I’ve used Shoe Goo to good effect before. Its also good for over-sealing worn seams on waterproof shorts.

Ta. Am thinking of impact-gluing on thick leather or similar.

I’ve used Araldite to patch up crash damage. Fills holes and covers scuffs and is pretty hard wearing. Doesn’t look great.

Won’t a patch leave an annoying edge?

    Spoons are quite hard-wearing 😛

How about kinesiology tape? Very sticky, come in a range of colours and fairly durable.

    Those new plastic £5 notes.

Collect half a dozen of them. Put them in a stack.

Take them to a shop and buy a new saddle.

Recovering a saddle is pretty easy.

Great for pimping that ride. My favourite was a purple lizards skin

If you rode more instead of leaning your bikes up against your walls they’d be less worn at the edges too.

(PS – shaken off the fakes yet? I was hoping to be able to buy you a birthday drink)
