  • What Matchmaker/MMX connectory bit do I need, if you please?

    Morning,

I recently bought a bike that came with a Sram GX transmission but Shimano brakes. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the Shimano brakes, so I replaced them with some Sram Levels TLs… It’s my first experience with Sram brakes and whilst I worked out how to get the fork lockout and left brake on the same clamp I can’t see how it’s done for the shifter and right brake (other than glue). Could someone point me at the correct part for some right-handed single clampage action please? It’s more than aesthetics, I can’t actually get my shifter in a comfortable position when my brakes are right, and vice versa.

    Cheers,

You need the bit that bolts down to the clamp; usually it is available only together with the clamp itself, although you might find it separately on ebay.

If you’re buying the full thing, note that CRC have some Matchmaker X clamps for £4.50 currently (silver only):

Ah, that looks like it’ll do the job. Bloody expensive though!
