There seems to be a lot of g-shock fans here. And quite rightly so- they're great watches

Got a G-Shock Mudman and a Luminox for day to day stuff, and a (incredibly good) "replica" Automatic Bell and Ross from Bali for smart. I did think the B&R looked huge in the box but on the wrist it's a lovely looking watch. Certainly would consider investing in a legit one. Those Panerai's are lovely too.

Bog standard casio here. Used to want a fancy sector watch.
Would like a basic Timex expedition watch but would still feel guilty at the purchase after the bitter Dundee dispute in the early 90s which, despite growing up through the miner strikes, was I guess the first time I actually observed and understood that sort of thing.
Depth Junkie, Klaus Cobec send me a catalogue every few months. Never seen one in the flesh are they nice? I just wrote it off as a mail scam. Love your Rolex, datejust is a classic design.
Ollech and Weiss M2 Kartago for nice, and a G Shock for riding.
For God's sake don't go through US customs wearing a basic Casio:
Gitmo interrogators: Casio F-91W digital watch is back pocket hanky code for "I'm a terrorist"
This item in the Guardian's coverage of the latest Wikileaks dump is not the first time I've heard that the Casio F-91W digital watch is thought to be "the sign of al-Qaida," and "a contributing factor to continued detention of prisoners by the analysts stationed at Guantánamo Bay."
But like so much revealed by Wikileaks, when stuff like this is proven out in the State Department's own pen, the absurdity levels really spike:
Briefing documents used to train staff in assessing the threat level of new detainees advise that possession of the F-91W - available online for as little as £4 - suggests the wearer has been trained in bomb making by al-Qaida in Afghanistan.
The report states: "The Casio was known to be given to the students at al-Qaida bomb-making training courses in Afghanistan at which the students received instruction in the preparation of timing devices using the watch.
Lidl
Animal.
a cheap Timex Expidition as my 22 year old Tag Heuer Formula 1 (brought for £85) is in need of a service (£200) and a new strap (£80) and i'm finding it difficult to justify the running costs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyone want a nice Tag Formula 1 (blue and cream?)
Holy crap! Becareful with that, could have somebody's eye out with that bezel!
Arriving tomorrow
Backhander - Sinn make very nice watches:
Like the terrorist banter! My 9 year old wears a F 91W! A total classic.
Michel Herberlin Newport which I won when I won the French Nationals Sailing a Melges24 a few years back.
I'm wearing the Breitling Chrono Colt this week.
May break out the omega next week.
I was wearing a werner flying watch on Saturday.
I had the Fossil on the week before, the fossil is my newest watch.
I haven't worn the Baume and Mercier for ages now, nor the Sekonda.
Another rolex 16600 here,

why: 'cause i like to know what time of the day it is, (roughly).
never ride up woods in it as i think it would kill my wrist in a fall and who cares what time it is when your having fun.
Same one for the last 15-odd years.

Seiko SQ100
higgo - Member
What: Skagen
Why: I like the look of it, it's comfy and it tells the time.
Now wearing a Triwa Kamrat - it's like a Rolex Daytona but it's red and made of plastic....
This one at the moment
Timex Ironman of some sort. Cheap(ish), waterproof, tough(ish), tells the time, has a stopwatch.
Metal strapped Casio something-or-other, had it for a five or so years, works like a charm
Casio G Shock G-611
It's time the wheel out the JLC:
Luminox here too, glows like a loon at night
A 21 yr old Tag Formula 1
Breil

My wife got it for my 30th. It's very nice and solid, without being expensive. It's got really cool curved glass and it's lasted twice as long as the Seiko I bought for twice as much.
This one today. Just back from being serviced.
