    Hi,

I have a set of 80’s Campag super record rim brakes. One of them is missing the twisty bolt which the cable runs through. Similar to the ones in the pictures below (i.e. between the finger and thumb in the 1st picture).

Is this called the Barrel Adjuster? If so, where can I get spares?

I think you’ll find that it’s been a common part for a number of years i.e. a more modern recent one will fit, except it won’t have the ‘Campagnolo’ engraving around the top. If you want an original Campagnolo Record one, then it attracts a healthy price premium.

Doesn’t need to have the branding, it just needs to fit and to be ordered off the internet.

Whiskers would be my first thought; been the go to place for Campag spares since the 60’s

    Try Mercian cycles in Derby.

Correction. Try calling Mercian cycles. Last time i tried to mail them (Admittedly a few years ago) it took them 6 weeks to answer, by which time i’d called, ordered, delivered, fitted and broken something else.
