I’m having a pint of hot water with a table spoon of honey in it or some grated ginger.
Anything really tasty that I’m missing?

Hot diluted orange – reminds me of my granny giving me ‘elevenses’ in winter when I was a wee squirt!

As an apprentice I took an oxo cube with my “bait” mmmm wonder where that blood pressure/heart disease came from? No one blinked an eye at drinking oxo in the 70s

    As per @shermer

We are also partial to a liquorish & mint infusion – we buy one in France called Saveurs du Soir made by Lipton’s – has a pocture of the desert and camel on the box 🙂

Hot water, lemon, couple of slices of ginger, honey, couple of peppercorns, grated nutmeg + a glug of whisky: BOOM. You’ve got a hot toddy.

Yak Redbush ftw. My thoughts exactly. I am into Pukka 3 ginger and Prewetts chicory.

Can’t stand coffee or tea so I generally resort to either hot chocolate, a quality squash of some sort or occasionally one of Whittards instant teas although they don’t make my favourite any more – Pink Grapefruit.

    Hot Chocolate.
    Cocoa
    Mulled wine.

That’s probably as far as I would go these days but I too used to be partial to oxo. Well any old stock cube really. Marigold bouillon powder is quite good and the veg water from cooking can be good depending what you’ve been cooking.

Ooh I used to like Ovaltine too, but not Horlicks

Bit of a Northern stereotype, but I love the stuff.

Hot water with some honey is nice too.

Cadburys Hot Choc is lush if you put a spoonful of Cocoa in with it.

Hot chocolate (although look out for the calories etc if you look out for that sort of thing) or some sort of fruit tea here.

Plain hot water for me. I gave up tea about 1.5 years ago when I realised I was having about 10 cups a day with 2 sugars in each.
I thought plain hot water would be horrible but as long it is hot and not just warm its quite nice.

Chicory root. I used to drink it instead of coffee, as it’s what Slav peasants used as a replacement. It has no caffeine, but a robust, roasted taste that’s quite nice!

There are different brands, and I always used Krakus (a Polish company), but it seems as if different ‘health food’ shops have others.

Teapigs Yerba mate. A much more palatable (to me) green tea taste. Has replaced my afternoon coffee.

Kahwe Bayda is my go to non caffeinated hot drink. To a cup of boiling water add mint leaves, two teaspoons of orange blossom water and add honey to however sweet you want it (or leave the honey out completely)

Blackstrap molasses. Just add a teaspoon of it to a mug of hot water. Quite tasty, and contains lots of healthy stuff.

When I’m cutting down on coffee I drink Redbush or decaf green tea (but I’d always rather be drinking coffee).
