I don’t know what the green stuff is but I like Silkolene RG2 from the motorbike shop. It’s red!

The Shimano Dura-Ace (used to be called Pro-set Lube) green is fluorescent green, its the best stuff I’ve found by far.

Any decent multipurpose grease. I use castrol myself. White grease IIRC is not thd right thing for hubs

Any thick old gunk will do.
“Bike specific” greases are a rip-off.
Personally I ‘borrow’ the odd grease cartridge from work which is Total Multi Complex EP2 if you’re bothered. We use it (By the carton-of-24-load) for lubricating the pivot bushes on heavy plant. Luuuverly’n’sticky!
    :o)

I have access to loads of EP2 etc. at work, but its nowhere near as water resistant as the Shimano grease which has a higher Silicon content.
