  • What forks for a Yeti 575?

Looking at those Revelation from the BikeOutlet, 140mm with Maxle – also noticed a lot of people run Fox36's. Sop what do Yeti owners run and why?

    Cheers

My 08 575 was set up as a fast XC bike so I ran 09 Float RLC's with the 15mm QR. Brilliant fork and the geometry was spot on and never needed any travel adjust even on steep singletrack. Thoroughly recommend them.

Have a look at Yetifan – LOADS of pictures of 575's built up which will give you an idea of what is popular. My brother uses Fox Floats 140mm as he's after a more light xc focused build.

Talas 140's on mine, but you can't go wrong with Revs. I don't really use the travel adjust except on the steepest of climbs.

Those new Rev Teams with 150mm travel would be spot-on, I suspect.

grumm/chaka – they look spot on! I didn't really want to got down the 160mm route as it is just an all day bike – was thinking around 140mm so the Fox or Revs, but those 150mm Revs look ace!

Danny, I love my Vanilla's. Very plush and spot on damping. Good honest basic fork. No lock out or travel adjust, but I never use it anyway.

BTW my 36 Vans are amazing, but it sounds like you want something lighter. Half wish I'd got the 150mm revs myself. Would be better for all-day rides in the Lakes, but not as good for when I return to Alp D'Huez to win the Mega! 😉

Many posts like this on Yetifan.

Ive had fox 32's fox 36 and now Pikes.
all good but the 36's where the best (just too heavy)

Yup don't think I will be able to afford to go next year anyway so I'll let you have the 2010 title (I'm not on a yeti either btw).

Enjoy. Coil Lyrics on mine at the mo but have had 55's on it too.

As mine is an XL it looks a bit odd if I wind them down to 140
