ok, I need a fork that I can run on my commencal super 4 but also swap over to my giant reign x when needed, possibly for 1 week a year!

so far, the only fork I can think of that will do the job well is the old Rock shox revelation teams.

can anyone suggest some alternatives for me to consider?

May have some rev u-turn teams for sale in a week or so if your interested. Only 8 months old with original reciept.

Sektor Coil U-Turn – 110-150mm. Great value, slightly heavier than an Air Rev, but lighter than a Pike.

Running 2011 RL coil sektors on my Turner 5 spot, 15mm axle; 110 to 150mm u-turn adjustability.
Happy with them, seem to cope with all styles of my riding!

Unless you’re stuck on price I can’t see any reason to look further than the u-turn Teams, one of the best forks out there and fits your bill perfectly.
