Ooh, I couldn’t answer this in my 1984 driving test, it means drive left side of the bollard.

Some drivers in Bradford seem to think it means ‘pass either side’.

It means ‘look at the floor, there’s something of interest here’.

I hope that this is a joke post.

It’s like one of the heritage blue plaques – the white arrow points where a notible local worthy tripped over the kerb.

Either that or the picture was taken at 7.30

For the hard of thinking it means keep left. I’m a traffic island.

If the arrow was at horizontal, you’d probably get people crashing into the adjacent building because they took it to literally.

See, that’s what I thought, & have done since I passed my test in 1974.
However, it seems that at least 3 people driving through the Starbeck area of Harrogate this week (**** tories) think it means, ‘if there’s no room on the left, pass on the right’, including the usual **** in a silver BM **** W!
    I may get a dashcam.

‘last time I got caught’, this statement implies you also did it before or since you got caught.

I seem to recall passing on the wrong side is the same offence as going the wrong way on a one way street. We have them on our road, they seem to mean “if you have to slow down because someone who lives here is busy parking in their own drive, go the other side”

You and the missus ok, Essel?
