Specialized do kids gloves for £12, my 5 year old has some, and they seem OK.

Most kids MTB gloves are fingerless mitts.

My daughter has always preferred full fingered gloves so I've always got her kids/youths motocross gloves. Better choice of colours and styles too

Decathlon do kids cycling gloves (and shorts) down to that sort of age range. Quite a bit cheaper than the branded stuff to.
