There’s not many Star Bars kicking about nowdays, although certainly fortunately more here in Scotland than there seems down south

I would imagine most are still available. Quite the boom in retro sweets.

Also, how the **** was the OP unaware Curly Wurlys are still sold?

…even posh shops like Ocado sell them.

Wonka bars. I worked for Nestle Rowntree in the late 90s/early 2000s and they did these things. Wasn’t chocolate but a kind of purple sweet ‘bar’. They stopped making them soon after they were released but they were actually pretty nice!

Although not that size of bar, they used to do a smaller single finger golden cup without any divisions in it, so it was gooey caramel from one end to the other. That or ice breaker bar.

    + 1 for Texan bars.
Spangles made a comeback a few years ago, then disappeared again.

Pretty sure supermarkets still sell Wonka bars, as does One Stop.

Don’t think I crave for any retro sweets other than Pink Panther bars. Found a local sweetshop recently that still has hundreds of things I mostly forgot about – Flying saucers, coconut tobacco, refreshers, blackjacks, rainbow drops etc etc

But would swap a bike for a bag of onion ‘Fangs’ (Horror Bags) – not confectionery, I know, but ye gods have tried every onion flavoured snack on the shelf over the years and nothing, NOTHING compares.

Not sure, but if someone could invent some Haribo-like sweets that don’t rot my teeth I’d be in heaven.

You can, but they’re about an eighth of the size they used to be.

My grandad invented a famous confection too. When he was little, my dad got a peanut stuck in his ear. So my grandad poured melted chocolate in to loosen it, and it came out a Treat.

    Texan. End of chat!

    And pacers.

Anyone remember a chew bar from the early 80’s – black on one side and green on the other. Seem to remember it was called Zegazoid or something similar. As reknowned for removing waggling baby teeth and fillings as Highland Toffee (gotta be chocalote covered!).
