I have just bought myself a lovely new Sram Force Groupset for my Road bike, i have been looking around for cable sets and noticed the price range is massive… i do like my bargains but at the same time if i have spent the money on the groupset there is no point getting crap cables. Has any body got any advice on what i should be looking at?

You asking about the cables only and not the outers?

for Force get the Gore low friction set, £27.99 on CRC but nice and smooth and last well. DON’T however try to use the sealed ones on them, I did on my cross bikes and regretted it, such a pain to fit to the Sram levers.

I was actually looking at the gore sealed ones…will definitely avoid now!!
Looking at cables and outers sputnik. £30 seems reasonable but i have seen some sets at over £50 and of course some as cheap as a tenner and just not sure what to pick in between.

incidentally the £50 one were yokozuna…i stumbled across them on ebay but found some good write ups about them in google?
