I’m looking for my first road bike, but will need pedals & shoes, my only issue is that I’ll need size 49ish. What budget pedals and shoes can you recommend? Thanks.

I’ve had a Pair of Exustar Keo’s since I got the bike 2 years ago and they’ve been fine, only started creaking now about 3500 miles later.
As for shoes I got A cheap pair of Giro’s off sport pursuit a while back, they seem to have shoes pretty regularly.

I just use entry level Shimano pedals which have held up well fir the last year or so. Shoe wise, I went with the entry level Spesh BG shoes which fitted much better than the equivalent Shimano shoes.

Wiggle’s DHB road shoes have been fine for me for the last 2 years.
