    Hi all,

Well the title speaks for itself, i'm currently looking at this- http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Saris_Bones_2_Bike_Rack/5360018051/

any hints tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

I reckon it will fit. Looks like you it won't need to hook onto the glass edged windows.

Similar issue here a few years back. I solved it with a tow bar mounted rack but I did need a tow bar anyway so it wasn't that bad.

my big tip would be to get a tow hitch mounted one.
Easy to fit, easy to load and cheaper to run.

    Thanks guys.

@Rochey, i've got something similar that i'm not particulary fond of, fits to close to the car which means the bikes rub 🙁

Also i'm trying to keep the cost to around £100ish, any tips on roof mounts?

If it's a new shape Mondeo, forget it – you can't use a tailgate-mounted carrier because the bit that would be loadbearing on the tailgate is made out of plastic and the bumper is made out of trifle. I went through the same process not so long ago and ended up with roof bars.

Go here – http://www.roofbox.co.uk – there's a configurator thing which will tell you what you can use and what you need. They're also a third cheaper than anywhere else I've found, and superb service.

If you're going for roof bars, get the aluminium aerobars – well worth the price difference.
