So….. I have a solar Trickle charge panel ( from an old boat I used to own ) which was used to keep a car type battery charged. I also have a couple of 12v lights – although I could change these if there’s a better option.
What battery should I get ? I’m reluctant to get a car battery as it’s a bit excessive for just running a light but havent found much else…

Maplin have various 12v lead-acid batteries.

get better 12 volt lights as well – you can get some LED ones now that use much less power as well as being brighter
I suspect a motorcycle dealer will be cheaper for batteries

mower batteries are cheaper still.

you’ll be lookng at about £50 for a motorcycle battery!!
