    Hello tech wizards

Right now i wipe my fork stanchions, off, from dirt, i then gentley
push a zip-tip between the fork seal, and fork stanchions, and add
a few drops of good chain oil(medium thick) i do that 3 times around
each leg, to ensure the foamring is full of oil.

I tried to just vipe the stanchio, and then add a bit of thin finish line, teflon
oil, direct the stancion, but it does not give the same plushness, as with
thicker oil, and adding it direct to the seal.

It is a Pike air i have.

but is that the right way to do it?

how often should i do it?

    what oil ?

How should i do it ??

    Thanxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You’re doing it all correctly IMO.

Try to store them upside down when not in use which keeps the seals nicely moist from the inside – this might make them feel a bit sluggish when you start your next ride but this fades after a few compressions.

After washing the bike I spray the stanchions with some Rock-Oil silicone spray, push them up and down a few times, then wipe off the excess.

I prefer the Rock-oil stuff because it doesn’t stain, and doesn’t attract dirt.
