  • what 2.1+ winter rear tyre – for a DH rim

    I am hoping to swap my rear panaracer rampage tyre for something with a bit more bite (leave rampage on front I reckon though).

    Running a mavic 729 DH rim so need a wider tyre, Looked a a panaracer trailraker 2.1 but worry it may be too narrow on this rim?

    Anything else – 2.3 would be good but I think I may struggle to get a wide mud tyre?

    What about a Maxxis Swampthing in 2.35 and Maxxpro compound. Not too draggy but good grip in the gloop

    Looks like a good choice! was looking at bonty mud x's but seem to be too thin.

    The single ply versions aren't even that heavy.
