    Hi guys,

my Girlfriend & I are planning to walk the West Highland Way starting the end of next week.

Does anyone know what the trail conditions are like at the moment?

    Cheers, Scruff

Currently dry underfoot (for highlands!), but some snow will remain in patches on higher couple of passes at Glencoe and near Fort William.

It’s mostly a well built track (except where it’s a boulder scramble at the infamous north end of Loch Lomond) and doesn’t ascend too high other than either side of Kinlochleven. Unlikely to have snow to contend with… but that can change in a week.

Also be aware that the Highland Fling ultramarathon is happening next weekend (Sat 25th April), so there’ll be a couple of hundred people running from Milngavie to Tyndrum.
