At Easter I’m going to be travelling up the west coast of Scotland up to Skye. I’m in two minds whether to take the bike or not – what is there to ride? Sounds like a daft question given that I’ll be in the Highlands but it’ll be a family trip so I won’t have a chance for full day epics, couple of hours a few times during the trip max. Any suggestions? Route TBC but thinking Loch Lomond area’ish for a night and then heading towards Oban, Fort Bill and then towards Skye…

    Cheers, Dave

    Assuming – Fat tyres:

Access is generally unfettered up here os if you see a path then go for it other wise go find some books by Andy McCandlish and others – Linky link Basically go and invest in some OS maps and pick out some routes.

Not too taxing and in your general area.

Bit of a leftfield suggestion… the ride from Scoraig to Badrallach is stunning. Even if not a bike ride it’d be a great family walk out to the Scoraig community.
