Was in Welshpool a few days ago,a small one horse town near Shrewsbury.

It appears that there are a lot of stupid people there,as according to locals, the reason they have painted yellow bands on every lamp post, bollard etc, even the cast iron waste bins are painted yellow on their tops, not forgetting the tops of the cast iron street furiture,is so they can be seen by visitors and locals, they also have signs on the street lights saying they will be switched off at night to save money.

Then as they have run out of grit/salt,they are useing road chippings on the pavements spread in nice little patches, which tend to cause you to skid when walking fast and you suddenly stop, you also drag them back to the car,and into the shops.

There is also a train timetable next to the town hall, problem being its about a mile to the train station, with no indication where the train station actually is.

    Rant over.

Nothing wrong with having manifestations on street furniture.

This could be more to do with the (lack of) depth in the gene pool round there…not a nice place! Oh, and Nick Griffin of BNP fame lives just outside town.

    Sh1thole of the highest order.
