Anyone live there, whats it like as only ever driven through. Might be looking to move to that area for a job based between Telford and Shrewsbury and really want to stay in Wales.

Thats a fair commute to live in Wales.

Middletown is equidistant between Welshpool & Shrewsbury with one half in Wales.

It depends what your requirements are?

Shrewsbury is relatively expensive for Shropshire while Telford has better value and the villages in between are great value. And there is some decent rides near the Wrekin while road riding offers some great routes which are light on traffic.

having driven through several times over the years it looks lovely but the number of times it floods is remarkable.
    just something to think about.

Welshpool is a small market town. The boys n girls come down from the hills at weekends and it can get a but “performing animal” in the evenings.
Parts flood, parts are grim and some bits are nice but its a small town and within 3 months you’ll know more people than ever expected to.
Shrewsbury will be painful to get to because everyone drives. Apart from that it’ll be fine.

Why not give oswestry a go? Surrounded by wales on all but one side. Basically in wales. Used to be in wales. Better road to travel to Shrewsbury and wrecscum.

Got plenty of bridleways around it to ride and near to llandegla.
