What’s the difference – apart from a slight north/south bias?

Is one gnarlier or pedallier or longer or better or more competitive than the other?

(I did do (and enjoy) one of each last year, but I’m not sure if they were representative or not and I’m not sure which I preferred…)

    They are different formats.

WGES is a mash up format. Ride the stages as may times as you can to get you best time. Mostly trail centre type trails.

WES is a more traditional one day enduro format. Mix of different trail types. Morning practice afternoon race.

Both series are run by experienced teams who know how to put on a good race, they both use some great welsh trails.
Tbh there’s not much in it, do both !

If only I could find time for both… and the UK series…

Mashup sounds great if you have a crash or a mechanical but otherwise it won’t make sense to repeat stages as you’ll be too knackered.

Will the WES include natural stages in the CyB, Penmachno and Marin rounds or will it be all trail centre?
