I needed/wanted some bar end shifters for my audax bike, I also needed normal brake levers, wide drops and new stem, all in silver.

I went into my LBS and there sat on the counter was that entire set up and in silver with bar tape totally unused from a brand new surly Long Haul Trucker.

£40 the lot….blinder.

The joy of an LBS. You don’t get that sort of thing with a CRC etc.

Indeed. When he said £40 I came out with ‘back of the net’ then spent a good half hour drinking coffee and learning Alan Partridge quotes with the guys there.
