[Following on from yesterdays can my sheared frame be fixed]

A 6000 series frame, I assume finding somewhere to heat treat it post welding would be a massive faff? and £££?
Is welding it up liable to make things worse? How good a welder does it need? Blowing holes? New stress risers?

I’ve small cracks in my front triangle
The main one being the top edge of the top tube where it meets the weld onto the headtube
I cant work out how to hotlink anymore?
It was obvious the paint had cracked, I’ve scraped the paint back, but I can’t get anything to show on a photo. I think I can just see a hairline crack around this point

Hairline cracks are easier than small cracks 😉

Doesn’t matter how big the crack is, welding it buggers up the heat treating just as much 😉

I think I’d call it a day on that one
