To be honest, I thought it was just the old "botflies" what got up to that sort of nonsense……. I had no idea that hoverflies were botty boys too.

To clarify – I did this before I read Dave's link of doom. I recognised that the other 'snarlies' were midge larvae and visiting friend confirmed this so the whole lot went down.
