Riding tomorrow, been indecisive about where to go all week, Dunkeld, Ae, dunoon, local stuff….

None of my buddies are Riding, and I’ve now decided I canny be arsed driving, gonna jump on Arran ferry instead.

Training for a charity road ride currently, but the road bike front mech is poorly so out on the Arkose today. Just local on bridleways and back lanes but ace fun.

Not sure for tomorrow, might get the fat bike on the Moors.

Hey, don’t diss the sanger man(men)

Sometimes less is more, and this ultra simple Sainsbury’s sandwich went down very well mid ride.

    North London very pleasant today:

I spent yesterday putting the Anthem back to what its supposed to be, rather than my idea of “Trail”. Amazing how shite I must of made it, its been supreme today.

After spending far too much time trying to decide which of my full sus bikes I prefer (thankfully now resolved) it was nice to get back on the fat bike for a bimble in the hills. The wind was trying to be annoying, but given what is suppposed to be coming our way tomorrow (snow!) I’m not complaining.

bailed on the road, did another 3.5 half hours on the singlespeed with a pub stop…. so fast and dry 🙂 Home for lamb kofta in tomato sauce slow cooking in the tagine with a lovely bottle of rioja. So lovely and sunny and warm in the garden, heavenly 🙂

    Cannock Cotic.

Had a great time, doubled the dog and doubled up on lower cliff too. The chase was busy but everyone was really friendly, got chatting to a few folks. The sun was out and I was cycling in short sleeves for the first time this year, these are the days we dream about when it’s subzero with 2 scraves & base layers on in Winter.

Usual 06:30 road loop yesterday with a lot of cyclists out now the mornings are lighter. TT bike honing session this afternoon. Position needs work still!

New wheels look nice and ride even better.

Went for a massive ride from Cardiff, over the Ridgeway between Castell Coch and Machen then over the next mountain to Cwmcarn, a loop of the Twrch then back via a small play at the Van Road jumps and dual slalom track. It was as knackering as reading that sentence without a breath 😀

47 miles and 6500ft of climbing in glorious sunshine, great way to start my week off 😀

I was lucky enough to get Friday off so we managed to squeeze in a cheeky unplanned weekend in North Wales with the family. My lovely wife was happy to let me take the bike too.

Rather less big mountainous pics than from some of the other riders on this thread, but it was another beautiful, buff, day in the (dry) Woburn back woods, with the trails running to perfection!

Surprisingly few others out on their bikes considering the weather and the awesome state of the trails, but chatted to a couple of other riders when catching our breath at the top of the climbs. Guy out with his son and a guy out with his trail dog, all with big smiles and grins thanks to the a-typical conditions 8)

Ace ride on the Quantocks, trails are fizzing at the moment.

Arrived back at the car park to find one of the LBS had set up a Whyte demo day. Fortunately for my marriage I had to get back home so couldn’t ride anything. 😉

Took the boys up to tilberthwaite this afternoon, youngest is an animal on the downs, just need to familiarize him with the brake to minimise parental palpitations. Eldest is developing into a snake hipped climber. Lads. Then had to get a blast on some local trails to kiss the weekend sunshine goodbye.

No pics i’m afraid, but I did my longest ever ride – and on proved how versatile a 29erHT can be into the bargain!

I had a 60mi ride planned with my NC500 charity group as that was the groups target for this month. I’m kinda hoping to do a double century in ~8 weeks, so decided to ride to and from the group ride as well.
Lovely day, but OMG that headwind home 👿

One of the best days on the bike for a while on Sunday. Nan Bield.

Going to flood the pictures, you have been warned.

    Heading towards Gatescarth pass.

Gatescarth.. Tom is not a fan of climbing.

Pace RC127 at Small Water Tarn. Hardtail took it all in it’s stride. Great bike.

    Best get climbing then..

Looking down onto the tarn and Haweswater.

    Almost there..

At the top, descent snakes out in front of us – what a great feeling.

    Well earned!

Great ride out, looking forward to more!

Local ride in Morley on Sat, BMX at the national cycle centre in Manchester on Sunday.

Couldn’t help but think how much more fun the bmx track would be on a grown up bike an MTB…
