Just 44km but 621m of climbing in that which isn’t bad for Leicestershire.

Stuck to Tarmac and gravel for the most part but the couple of bits of singletrack I rode were bogging. Might dry out by May if it stops raining now.

The giant looks lovely but that beer looks flat as a fart.

I don’t like calling out peoples riding shots, in the main it’s because anyone that gets out on a bike sees far more than a single snippet of vision.

But I like Simons Pine Forest a lot.

The Beer, well thats Real Ale right there. They’ve been winning Gold awards for 25 years, to me it’s just gorgeous.

    Have fun tomorrow all.

Another day, another ride, another beer.

Bikebouy, lovely looking Giant, with a few upgrades I see! Can you tell me what gear range you’re running? Doesn’t look like the stock CX.

One of those rides that look better in the pictures than it was in reality if I’m honest, but I was just checking out some new route ideas and anyway all rides beat no ride.

Great to see my old Pikes being put to good use in this thread too 🙂

Looks like everybody posting got to ride more picturesque routes than me, but never mind. Mrsmidlife’s office have just decided to do a charity ride from Doncaster to York up the Transpennine trail so I thought I’d better reacquaint myself. Horrid gusty headwind added to the fact that I was drinking heavily until 2 in the morning and it was quite a slog. I wonder if they can ride somewhere else.

    Home on the train.

Didn’t really do any riding this weekend but i did spend all sat and sun afternoon clrearing/tending to my trails with a few new trail tools (rogue hoe and 12″ x 3ft brush cutter), i had help from Toby – he’s quite chuffed as he now has his own flask for his milky tea so i seemed to get more work out of him, i may introduce his own chicken n’ rice lunch box next weekend as an added incentive.

Legs are knackered now so i doubt i’ll be heading into work t’morn, i guess that means one more whisky won’t hurt.

Had a visit on sat afternoon from Mr & Mrs & mini postierich, was good to see you’s after all these years 😀 , hope imogen has recovered from her slip…..I’ll be having words wi them on tuesday bout the woodwork as other kids have slipped over the past few weeks but they’ve done f-all about the surface 😕

Enjoying the HK winter while it lasts, soon it will be back to 30 degress and 90% humidity but this weekend it felt like being back in Surrey.

Also managed to find a local farm that does reasonable coffee, bonus.

Nice solo ride on the Chase. Main trails surprisingly dry, bit wet and squidgy off piste, found some lovely singletrack though.

Gemmi Pass from Kandersteig. Fatbikes allowed on lifts and pistes… A great day out in the mountains. Fabby scenery and beer at a bar on the frozen lake. There must be more days like these.
