I have (on a whim as its the only time free until Xmas thats free at work) booked a week off so I have Aug 29 – Sept 6th free, a bike, lightweight touring set up and a little £££ and a possible riding buddy.

I was planning a UK ride as I could ride from the front door (Cheltenham) and head off somewhere but UK weather being what it is and Chipps's adventure has planted the seed of an idea of hopping across the channel for a change. Either ferry, Eurostar or lowcost flight to France / Spain? Flight is not the best option as needs bags / boxes for the bikes (which is a PITA)

Pretty much road based (with the occasional dirt road…) so sort of OT but there you go….
