Is there anything significantly better than that spray stuff (rubbish) or Sno-seal wax stuff (slightly better)?

    Better than Sno-seal?

    Does not compute!

I never found dubbin to really keep my feet dry. Goretex boots or these days I’d have thought Sealskinz merino socks would be just the job.

LederGris wax from Altberg is pretty good
It works well and seems to last longer than Nikwax or Grangers.
Only downside is that it stinks !

I use the Nikwax stuff, having converted from Dubbin a few years back. Much, much easier to put on, so I do it more often…

    Scarpa HS12.

    Cheap, easily available and works.

My SL’s come up like new every time and my boots are used all year round, most weekends. No wet feet (either from sweat or water).
