i have had the Northwave Celcius ones for about 2 years and are still in great condition.

i wear them with Sealskinz waterproof and thermal socks when the weather gets really cold.

i've got a pair of specialised defrosters. so far they're pretty snug and cosy but i don't think they'll be as good as the northwave's come the winter.

also, aside from being dearer, they're very narrow which is fine if you've got wee feet like me but if you're waddling about on a pair of spades you may have problems with these

tried 9.5 the other day in the celcius, I'm normally a 9, and they were too narrow. Having second thoughts about ordering a 10.5 as these too could be too narrow.

Northwave celsius here too. I like them, although they're not 100% waterproof or very warm. Buy a sile up if you intend to wear thick socks.
I have narrow size 9 feet, and my 43s are a good fit with Assos early Winter Plus, snug fit with Woolie Boolies.
for 90% of the riding I do they're a great shoe, but for extreme cold and/or wet, you might find neoprene overshoes helpful as well.

I have Diadora chilis. Waterproof, but the zips are fragile and the sole wears out.

On balance, not recommended.

spesh defrosters – 'kin awful. Unfortunately I'm saddled with a pair which I am trying to make usable with sealskiz socks.

Hi had a pair od Diadora Chillis a couple of years ago, absolute rubbish. First time I wore them which was on a weekend trip to Afan, I had to hose the zips so I could get them off, so I had to go back to my sumer shoes next day :(. Currently I am using Shimano MW02's which have been ok but the stitching is now starting to go so I am thinking of trying the Northwaves.

Is there such thing as a womens winter boot? looking for a size 38.

Used Northwave Celcius for the last 3 winters. Keep your feet warm and dry (unless its very wet, then water wicks down the cuff). Be careful using the heel strap to pull them on, they snap. Also some of the lace eyes snapped in the second winter. They're good boots especially if you want to look like a pixie.

I've replaced them with a pair of Shimano MW80's, which also seem to be working very well so far.
