My wife's just found her 3g iPhone floating in about an inch of water following a water bottle leak in her handbag.

She's turned it off but I'm guessing drying it's going to be a problem so, what do we do now and where do we send it?

I had a problem with a VERY wet site visit a couple of years ago and the drowning of my digital camera and phone. I bought a kilo of silica gel from an online craft shop. Allowed the bulk of the drying to take place somewhere warm, not hot. Then sealed both items into plastic bags with the Si gel. Couple of days did the trick and both worked as previously. Give it a go – cheaper than an iPhone service centre. Fingers crossed it will work for you.

You could try rice instead of silica. Not cooked, obviously.
